A recap of GSP's dynamic recruitment events across South Asia in August 2023
As we welcome a new month, let’s look back and celebrate the incredible success of GSP’s recent series of events in South Asia last August. These networking events were carefully organised to establish connections with GSP’s recruitment partners, sparking meaningful conversations around their significant role in the international education landscape.
Sri Lanka
GSP Sri Lanka, led by Kanchani Jayawardhana, set the stage with inaugural recruitment activities on 11 August. Drawing over 60 recruitment partners to Movenpick Colombo, the agent networking event not only shed light on GSP’s year-long growth but also served as a venue for forging valuable new connections and reinforcing existing partnerships.
Nepal
GSP Nepal took center stage next, launching the GSP Nepal Partners and Networking Event 2023 on 13 August at the Hotel Himalaya in Lalitpur. Joined by CEO Elaine Starkey and Chief Growth Officer Ali Butt, the event gathered an impressive attendance of over 90 guests.
The event featured a panel discussion focusing on EdTech B2B companies and covered trends in the education technology sector, challenges and opportunities for B2B companies in the Edtech space, innovations in educational products and services, strategies for successful partnerships, and the role of technology in transforming education.
The event was followed by the GSP Nepal MD and Directors Appreciation and Networking Dinner in Pokhara, Nepal, held on 15 August. Facilitated by Mr. Anil Shrestha, CD, important discussions took place, which focused on the improvements enjoyed by the recruitment partners from Nepal and an overview of the current market. To close the event, certificates and tokens of appreciation were distributed to recognise the top performers.

Bangladesh
Continuing the momentum, Faisal Khan led the GSP Bangladesh Team in organising the successful Agent Networking Event at the Lakeshore Hotel in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 19 August. A remarkable attendance of 127 agents and 16 university representatives participated, joined by CEO Elaine Starkey and CGO Ali Butt. The event featured a notable guest, Mr. Mustafizur Rahman, the Director-SA, Trade and Investment, who shared his valuable insights on the role of agents in driving quality conversions. University representatives also shared recent updates, and tokens of appreciation were distributed to recognise the top performers.
Pakistan
Concluding the series, GSP Pakistan presented the GSP Agent Networking Event, delving into a spectrum of topics. The event introduced and explored the unique features and benefits of the GSP business model with recruitment partners across Pakistan. Discussions included university screening tests, strategies to enhance visa success rates, profile evaluations refinement, and updates from the Australian government, ensuring that recruitment partners have access to up-to-date information.
2024 events
Given the resounding success of these events, the GSP team is excited to unveil an array of forthcoming events that promise collaboration, impactful insights, and innovative strategies that will shape the future of international education recruitment.
