GSP held Key Partners Meet and Greet events in Hyderabad, Kochi and Chennai to facilitate connections between their recruitment and institution partners and provide information on the Australian GTE requirement and compliance at GSP.

India – Global Study Partners, a global marketplace for international student recruitment, hosted three exclusive workshops and networking events in India—featuring highly-ranked global institutions from Australia and Ireland—for its recruitment partners. The Key Partners Meet and Greets were held at Taj Deccan in Hyderabad (21 November), Kochi Marriott Hotel in Kochi (23 November) and Taj Coromandel in Chennai (24 November). These sessions provided recruitment partners the opportunity to connect and collaborate with partner institutions and get insights into Australia’s Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement and compliance at GSP.

GSP’s partner institutions took the floor to introduce their key qualities, admission requirements, scholarships, featured programs and new courses. These included the following, represented by key leaders:

  • The University of Newcastle (Jayasree Gopal, Senior Recruitment Advisor)
  • Murdoch University (Arjun Singh, Regional Manager – South Asia)
  • Trinity College Dublin (Nilanjana Shihn, Regional Manager – India & South Asia supporting Trinity Global)
  • The University of Western Australia (Sashirekha Mathiyarasan, Regional Manager – South Asia and Roshan KJM, Regional Manager – South Asia)
  • Griffith University (Rushali Kapoor, Marketing Officer – India)

Kaplan International Pathways, represented by Regional Director – ANZ, South Asia Robin Pushapdeep S. and Student Recruitment Manager – South Asia Saima Siddiqui, also presented their pathway routes at the events.

The workshops also featured lectures on GTE and compliance at GSP to help recruitment partners enhance their strategies and expand potential partnerships.

The dedicated GSP team, represented by Vice President of Global Partnerships Matt Beazley, Director Institutional Partnerships of South Asia Shivali Mehendale, Vice President of Recruitment and Admissions (India and Onshore) Gaurav Kapoor, Admissions Director Ritu Sharma, Regional Director of Recruitment in India Nikita Gupta and Regional Director for Recruitment Heena Gupta were in attendance. Business Development Managers Guru Prasad Bhanuvikram, Sandhiya Anandhakrishnan, Pavani Jagarlamudi, Bantu Shailaja and Praveen Kumar Ankuri. were also present at the events. They facilitated engaging discussions to explore prospective plans for recruitment partners to offer better global educational opportunities for students.

The Key Partners Meet and Greets showcased GSP’s commitment to strengthening the international educational industry in India and its goal to connect key players in the field for the benefit of study-abroad students.

As one of Australia’s most trusted study abroad companies, GSP has always been committed to providing excellent service in the international education industry. In 2021, edtech player UpGrad acquired GSP to strengthen its overseas network, with India being one of its current biggest markets. Since then, GSP has been actively continuing its goal to connect institutions and recruitment partners across the globe to create more collaborative and effective relations within the sector.

One of the most integral elements of a successful organisation is passion. And if you were to look for an embodiment of passion, you must meet Catherine Wilson, Global Study Partner’s Senior Partnerships Manager – North America.

With a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and post-graduate in International Development, Cath has led a career that has taken her all around the globe, where she dedicated her time helping students, improving communities and supporting disaster-stricken families.

Cath started her career working in Disaster Relief and International Development. Having spent a decade travelling and working around the world, she found herself working for the Ministry of Education in Loas, South Africa and Fiji. This involved building schools, creating sustainable community development projects and holding English language training programs.

To grow student participation in her projects, Cath worked closely with representatives from various colleges and universities in Australia, the US, UK and Canada, which soon became her entryway into the Higher Education industry. She then started a new job as an international student recruitment advisor for Global University Systems Canada.

Today, she is one of our valued senior partnership managers, who works tirelessly to grow and maintain relationships with our North American partners. Since joining our team, she has already achieved great feats that have helped in our organisation’s growth: she has been the face of GSPNA for almost two years now, has acquired and worked with over 200 partnerships in her region, and had played a large role in acquiring our AIRC certification.

Her secret? Her love for her job. “I really enjoy working with our regional directors and absolutely love engaging with our staff from around the world,” Cath shared. She will soon have her second work anniversary with GSP in January 2023.

Apart from her work, Cath also loves being around her family and friends. In her free time, you’ll find her in the mountains or scaling a rock – she enjoys staying active and testing her limits!

“I still love the idea of working with the international community to offer the most valuable asset in the world – an education.” – Catherine Wilson.
